Hi there! My name is Kelly Boone-Brown, and I’m a middle-aged school teacher who didn’t come to know Christ until I was 40 — proof that God’s timing is always perfect (and sometimes a little dramatic). Since then, I’ve made up for lost time by diving deep into His Word, earning a bachelor’s certificate in Biblical Studies and knocking out 21 hours toward a master’s in Educational Ministries. These days, I juggle part-time middle school English teaching (which keeps me humble) and spend my free time in Bible studies with some amazing women. I’m passionate about sharing my faith and love, encouraging women and young people who are searching for the peace and joy that only God can give — because I’ve been there, and He’s faithful.
Why Wallflowers?
Why not wildflowers? Because wildflowers spend more than their share of time in the sunlight. My middle daughter is a wildflower—bright, beautiful, and full of life. I’m talking to the wallflowers (like my oldest daughter and me), those crippled with social anxiety and clinging to the shadows of obscurity. But God sees wallflowers differently – beautiful, created with care, and full of purpose.
God’s purpose for me is to share His Word with you! Blogging was not on my radar, but this blog is simply a way for me to share what God is teaching me – and to remind you that you are never overlooked in His garden.
